Travel Outfits For Thailand & Hong Kong Trip

I’m heading to Thailand and Hong Kong next week and I thought I’d share some of my clothes I’m packing!  I came across this awesome website because I wanted to keep my packing to a minimum.  I found this particular blog post helpful so it served as a guide for my outfit planning!

I plan to bring five tops, four bottoms, one dress, and three pairs of shoes as my main articles of clothing:

Tops: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 (Similar),  Bottoms: 1 / 2 / 34, Dress: 1, Shoes: 1 / 2 / 3 (Similar)

I think every piece is versatile enough to go together.  Three of the tops are from Urban Outfitters.  Only this year did I start to shop there again, especially for spring and summer pieces.  I’m still debating whether or not to bring different colored shorts, but I feel they’re different enough styles.  What do you think?  A maxi skirt is definitely versatile as I can dress it up or down.  Toms are my go-to weekend shoes so it’s a given I’d bring a pair.  And my beloved Rainbows have been with me to every major trip I’ve taken since I first got them almost ten years ago!

I’ll also bring three bathing suits as half our trip will be at the beach.  Of course, I’ll also bring a pair of sunnies, a cardigan, light jacket, and plenty of pairs of undies!

Any other suggestions as to what else I should bring?  Do you plan your clothes ahead of time like I do?  Or are you a last-minute packer?

make sure to bring pants/long skirt and closed shoes if you plan to visit temples in thailand. some have really strict dress codes. oh and maybe something to cover your upper arms too. this goes for justin as well!

so jealous of your trip! have a safe one!

Wow, that sounds like an amazing trip! I usually plan out what I’m going to bring, but don’t actually pack until the last minute. I would say to bring some kind of scarf that could be used to wrap around your shoulders in temples or as a sarong at the beach… but you can probably get some really amazing (and inexpensive) scarves/wraps when you’re there. I think I would probably bring both pairs of shorts, just to have another option (especially if one pair gets dirty/wet/etc). And the maxi skirt is definitely a good idea!

Thanks Jen! I think I will buy a scarf or sarong while I’m there!
