Smile With Style: Shoes That Are Actually Made For Walking

Being a Preventive Care Consultant, I drive around to different dental offices. It also requires a lot of walking. Since I’m new to this field, I’m still developing my wardrobe. It’s a bit tough with my body type. I’m not the typical petite. I’m definitely short at 4’11, however I have broader shoulders and thick thighs. In the coming months, I will share my shopping experiences and staple pieces.

For now, I’d like to focus on shoes. I am not the best at walking in heels. In fact, I suck. Given the fact that I look young and I’m short, it’s tough for dental professionals to take me seriously.  So, I feel like I have to wear shoes with some sort of heel so dentists don’t focus on my height. Comfort in shoes is everything! If I know for sure I would not be able to walk in a pair, I won’t buy it (even if they’re super cute!). Here are some really cute, affordable, easy to walk in, chic shoes I have come across so far.

These Ivanka Trump pumps (similar) are my go-to shoes.  I can wear them with most of my outfits.  They are super comfy.  Since I wear them almost everyday, they’re starting to wear out.  I must get a second pair soon!

The box for these Ivanka Trump pumps says “Red Patent”, though they they look more coral in person.  I use these shoes when I want a little more color as I tend to wear lots of neutrals.  Can you tell I really like Ivanka Trump shoes?? They super classy with the gold emblem on the back.  I constantly get compliments for both pairs of my Ivanka shoes.

I started to wear these Julianne Hough for Sole Society pumps more often since my black Ivanka’s are getting worn out.  The studs give the shoes a funky flavor.  I also get compliments from ALL my clients, even the males.

I used to be a size 6… somehow, my feet shrunk and now I am a size 5.5.  I tried other brands like Cole Haan.  I wasn’t impressed with the comfort, especially for such a costly pair.  Shoe spurges that are on my wish list (and will remain on my wish list for a long time) include:

Tory Burch Wedge Pumps – Sally Mestico

Salvatore Ferragamo ‘Vara’ Pump

Not exactly sure how comfortable these shoes are.  If anyone knows, please let me know if I should make the investment.  Which shoes do you recommend??

Keep Smiling, Marj
