Yesterday was my mom Marinette’s birthday. We decided to have dinner the night before so Justin and I were able to celebrate with her since we headed to the bay area the morning of her birthday. We had dinner at Fogo de Chao in downtown. The restaurant is a traditional Brazilian steakhouse, which is basically an all-you-can-eat meat fest!
The food was delicious! My favorite meats were the filet mignon and picanha (top sirloin), their house speciality. And I LOVED the pão de queijo (cheese bread), which is my sister’s favorite in any Brazilian steakhouse. They even brought out a complimentary cake for my mom. There are lots of tables in close proximity so it can feel a bit tight. Overall, it was a great dining experience. A day later, I was still full!
I was born two days later from my mom’s 26th birthday so I consider myself her best birthday gift. Here’s the message I sent her after midnight on her actual birthday this year:
I know, I’m such a sweet daughter. Haha!
